The painting that I admire is First-class Marksman by Sidney Nolan. It's a simple style.The painting shows Ned Kelly wearing black armour and holding a rifle in a landscape. Ned Kelly's large black helmet stands out on a light background, making it feel bold.The bright color and simple form attract me.The small eyes appear mysterious, peeking out from under that helmet. Even today the painting is full of power and looks modern.
